Pedro Loureiro studied photography (from 1989 the 1991) in MI 21/École des Arts et Métiers de l'Image, in Paris; from 1991 to 1998 was photographer of the Weekly periodical "O Independente"; in 1996 he was scholar of Leonardo da Vinci Program, in Paris. In 2002 he co-founded Kameraphoto, agency of photographers and in 2005 of K Gallery (photography Gallery). Between 1998 and 2005 he was photographer of the magazine "Grande Reportagem" and photography editor of the magazine "NS" (Notícias Sábado) between 2006 and 2008). Currently he is an independent photographer.
He published photographs, reports and portfólios in: "LER", "Elle", "DNA", "Volta ao Mundo", "Semanário Económico", "The Telegraph", "On Sunday Telegraph", "Le Monde", "The Guardian", "National Geographic Magazine", "Le Point", "L'Express", "The New York Times" and "Libération?, among others.
