Fernando Gabriel was born 30 years ago in the city of Viseu.
Architect of formation, professional photographer since 2006, he was always self-taught in photography.
He started to photograph in 2000/2001, and to display on-line since this date in foto@pt. He participated in some collective exhibitions since 2001 (in Forum Romeu Correia in Almada, Youth House of Póvoa de Varzim, the House of the Arts in Porto, Library Almeida Garret in Porto), having only done an individual exhibition in 2001, in his 2nd native land, in Meda's Cultural Center, a symbolic exhibition of a beginning.
Currently he is a professional photographer, and the works he does are in the area of architecture and product.
His attitude towards photography is of respect for all its expression. Admirer of photographers as Man-Ray, Brassai, Bill Brandt, Pablo Nozolino, Jorge Henriques, among others, he searches in photography the expression and the supra-expression, of one author's attitute.
His photographs named minimalists and expressionists, are only this: the consequence of an author expression.
For Fernando Gabriel photography is not only about light or exposures, but also merely about the banal word "art", as a meaning of feeling and expression that any one of us possesss.
